"I’m back this week with my weekly epistle to fellow Nigerians and Africans. You must be wondering about the title of my article today, especially the word “they” and who it refers to ultimately. You don’t have to guess too much as I will explain to you in a jiffy. The “they” are those groups of men and women who litter the corridors of power in our dear beloved country Nigeria.

Ladies, I wrote this post specially for you as I believe we have all shared this very struggle. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to have a flawless skin that glows. But those pesky dark spots and the annoying ashy skin colour continued to stand in my way. Ladies you know what I’m talking about now…knuckles and bone joints that look burnt despite hours spent polishing and rubbing the so called skin clearing agents on it.
Few days ago a White Italian killed an unarmed Nigerian named Chidi in Italy, but in Nigeria the outrage is for White Cops who kill African Americans even though our own security services kill us DAILY. We have a major separatist agitation which we should address but we prefer to address issues arising from #Brexit. We have a string of inconclusive local elections but our fixation is on the US election. Our local leagues are playing to empty stadiums while our people are glued to European leagues and the ongoing Euro 2016. And then we wonder why our country is the way it is? What did Jesus say again? 'For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also'-Matthew 6:21.

"I was on my way to catch up an appointment this afternoon when I saw this homeless mother by the market roadside begging alms... I noticed how everybody ignored her pleas for alms and I hid behind a tree to record this video.
