Blackface Daddy Freeze, other OAPs will play other songs but not mine - singer
Blackface, a former member of a music group, Plantashun Boiz, has blamed on-air personalities for not playing his songs - which he tags socially conscious.
The singer told Punch that radio presenters that include Daddy Freeze will ignore his songs but play other songs that are of no national benefit.
“The so-called big OAPs like Freeze, who is always talking about pastors, are on the radio but they are not doing anything to push socially conscious songs that preach a message. But if Tekno sings a ‘Jogodo’, they will gladly play it. Their nonchalant attitude would destroy a lot of things and only bring more chaos,” he said
R-APC Our focus is to rescue APC from predators not defect - Afegbua
Kassim Afegbua, the spokesman of the Reformed All Progressive Congress, R-APC, has said that the focus of the splinter group is to remain within the APC and rescue it from predators.
Afegbua told Vanguard that the R-APC was for now not concerned about joining any political party as that isn't the splinter group's main focus for now.
“We haven’t gotten to that bridge yet. People are just trying to be preemptive. There is no discussion about party. We are poised to rescue our party first from the grip of political buccaneers and predators”, said Afegbua

The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), has called on former Military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon to speak up on the Plateau killings.
The group said that the happenings in Gowon’s home state is a nemesis of the genocide committed against the Igbos in 1966 and the Biafran war of 1967-1970.

Abaribe Senator granted bail after five days in DSS custody
A Federal lawmaker, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, has been granted an administrative bail after five days in DSS custody.
The Special Adviser to Abaribe on Media, Mr Uche Awom, made this known in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said Abaribe, who is the Chairman of the South East Senators Forum, was released at about 6.32 p.m. “Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe walked to freedom after five days in the DSS gulag.
“Abaribe, who was granted administrative bail, was released to his lawyers led by Chukwuma Machukwu Ume (SAN). “Speaking at the premises of the DSS facility in Abuja, Ume thanked Nigerians for standing up against the wrongs done to Nigerian democracy with the arrest of Sen. Abaribe,” he said.
