"When Boko Haram sends girls as suicide bombers, don't say they blew themselves up, they were murdered"- ED, Human Rights Watch

The Executive Director, Human Rights Watch, Kenneth Roth stated this on Twitter after it emerged that the suicide bombers who blew themselves up in a crowded area near Maiduguri Monday market, were reportedly around seven and eights years old.

Abdulkadir Jabo, a civilian JTF, who stopped them from going into the market told Associated Press that he asked the older girl where she was going but she could not speak Hausa or Kanuri...and appeared unsettled. "I turned her back. Seconds later, she detonated, followed by the younger girl" he added.
