Multiple award winning Afro-pop singer, Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia has joined the star-studded roster of Globacom brand ambassadors.
The ‘African Queen’ singer, who was before now a brand ambassador for another telecommunication company, Airtel, was unveiled on Sunday night at the Glo Mega Music Tour event in Port Harcourt, Rivers state as the latest entertainer to endorse the Africa’s fastest growing telecom network.
The Glo Mega Music Tour is a series of concerts which will see comedians and musicans signed to Globacom perform in 27 cities.

He joins the brand endorsement portfolio of the company which has some of the best artistes in the country including Patience ‘Mama G’ Ozokwor, Omawumi, Ego Ogbaro, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buhari, Sessime, MI., Basketmouth, Bovi Ugboma, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Hadizah Blell (Di’ja). Other accomplished personalities who are ambassadors of the company include Funke Akindele, Ime Bishop, Odunlade Adekola,
Bimbo Oloyede and Flavour, amongst others.

2baba now joins the likes of Olamide, Mercy Johnson and Timaya as new celebs on Glo ambassadorial list.
It was gathered that since late last year when 2Baba’s deal with Airtel expired, rumours have been swirling around that he was being toasted by Glo to come on board to replace some the big stars that had their contracts cancelled.
But as a careful artiste with a strong management structure, 2Baba has been studying the proposal until few months ago that the deal was finally sealed.
His coming on board was first noticed when the singer pulled out as one of the coaches on the highly successful talented hunt show, The Voice sponsored by Airtel.
No statement yet from 2baba’s management on the value of the Glo deal believed to be huge.
